CAMERON
With an extensive background in exercise and sports science, I aim to bring a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology to both my practice and teaching.
After a serious back injury that I couldn’t ignore, my first Bikram class was in 2006 at Darlinghurst. The practice provided relief and complimented my training and recovery so well that I pursued and attained the teaching certification in 2011.
Travelling and teaching all over the world – including some places you wouldn’t believe – I continued my formal education, studying under some of the world’s foremost authorities in breathwork, meditation, philosophy and mobility - all of whom have guided me on what has been a remarkable journey. Deepening my practice further, I was very fortunate to spend extensive time in Mysore, India, studying the higher limbs of Yoga and receiving certification in the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition.
As a Special Forces veteran, Yoga played an incredible role in maintaining my physical health, balancing perspective and regulating emotional responses while serving abroad and when returning home. As a coach, Yoga serves as an essential element of my approach to optimising human performance – be it in the sporting arena, the workplace, at home with family or in the yoga studio. I’m extremely passionate about helping people achieve their breakthroughs and look forward to seeing you in the hot room.
